USING KADENCE THEME & BLOCKS

KADENCE DOCUMENTATION & SUPPORT FORUMS

Kadence Themes & Blocks has comprehensive  Kadence Documentation, covering both the free Kadence theme and the free Kadence Block plugin which we include in this theme.

If you don't find what you need there, check out their free Kadence Facebook group where everyone is incredibly helpful.

If you'd like a deep dive into Kadence settings and blocks and would like to understand the difference between Kadence free and Pro, then I'd recommend this truly excellent Kadence YouTube tutorial.

If you have bought a Kadence child theme from The Design Space, then the free Kadence theme & the free Kadence Blocks plugin will automatically be installed as part of the child theme import process.

INSTALLING YOUR KADENCE CHILD THEME

Our one-step install creates a perfect replica of the demo site, complete with pages, posts, images, menus and more.

Note: Because the demo data includes all of those things, please check the option boxes to indicate which parts of the demo site you wish to install.

1. UNZIP YOUR DOWNLOAD PACKAGE

Inside your zipped downlad (called UNZIP ME!), you’ll find an installable theme zip called ‘Name of Theme_For_Kadence’.

You can upload that file straight into your Appearance > Themes area. There are a couple of extra steps to complete once you’ve done so, so please do also read the instructions in the section below.

Depending on the theme, you may also find additional design assets or demo content.

2. UPLOAD YOUR CHILD THEME TO THE THEMES AREA

Go to Appearance > Themes in the left WordPress menu. Click on Add New, select your theme zip, upload it and activate it.

3. INSTALL YOUR KADENCE CHILD THEME DEMO CONTENT

Once your child theme is active, navigate to Appearance > Kadence > Starter Templates and follow the simple prompts as per the video below.

Once installation is complete, you can delete the Kadence Starter Templates Plugin if you wish.
